Reilly Donovan’s “Hokum Bunkum” is virtual reality with a statement: “Nonsense is becoming the new truth, with correctness disregarded as dishonesty. Disinformation mixes with our core values weightless in the air. We reach out seeking the truth, only to have accountability slip away, dissolving between our fingertips in a campaign against logic itself. Fingers point away from the facts towards fictions, treating our tools as toys on the world stage. Ignorance and denial reign supreme as we place our trust in a reckless set of hands.”
Reilly Donovan, based in Seattle, received his BFA from Cornish College of the Arts in Video, Photography and Sculpture.
Donovan is an Artist in Residence at Cornish College of the Arts @ iEti (institute for emerging technology and intermedia). Among other projects, he collaborated with Joseph Gray to create an interactive projection-mapped digital installation at Design Basel, Switzerland.
